The Australian Grand Prix organisers put together a media launch event to help promote their upcoming 2014 Formula 1 season opener (16 March).
Strapping a Red Bull Racing RB08 (?) underneath a helicopter, the flight over Melbourne ended in a ceremonial placing of the car on a checkered flag painted lawn in Albert Park, the home of the Australian Grand Prix since 1996.
I wonder if the irony of all the "up in the air", "hanging by a string", and "future in the wind" comments about the races' future in Melbourne were intentional, or more Aussie hipster ironic?
